Hello to all the wonderfully creative and talented women and men of TADVS.  As this years ways and means chairman it is my responsibility to raise funds to defray the cost of our educational conference.  As we all know, this is not a one man job, but more on that later.

This will be the 2nd year that we will have a joint meeting location with TAHV.  The challenge is helping our vendors understand that this is a win-win opportunity that saves time and money for them but TADVS still needs their financial support.  Over the years the 2 separate vendor fairs at the 2 separate conferences has been an excellent way to bring in funds.  Now, with only one vendor fair we must shift gears and help our vendors understand that supporting our educational conference financially will still give them plenty of "face time" with the hospital decision makers. The sponsorship information can be seen on the TADVS website.  Please become familiar with it so you can share the info with vendors you come in contact with.

Last year Heather Rojas starting soliciting gift shop vendors as a way to broaden the outreach to potential supporters of our conference.  This is where all of you come in.  If you have a gift shop vendor that you do a lot of business with please talk to them about our conference and send me their information.  We will be happy to follow-up with the sponsorship opportunity letter. Additionally, the more items we have for the silent auction the more income we can generate.  Hopefully each of your gift shops can contribute something wonderful to the silent auction.

I appreciate all the help that I will be receiving from this great group and look forward to a success and profitable conference.

this already, but any travel related benefits attached to credit cards can also be researched (and conditions of apclipability should also be researched). Another random comment about cheap lodging: I'll be staying with my friends in a villa for a week near Barcelona, which is going to break down to $20 or less per person per night. Another great option if people are creative and (lucky like me, or) research ahead of time.
